Fleece Fleece + More Fleece
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The other day I received my Joanne's Fabrics sale flyer, and as I quickly flipped through it I couldn't help but notice a little insert they had about fleece. I spotted some rugs and had to look a little closer. This part of the ad was for a book called Cool Rugs Made Easy. The rugs look awesome! Colorful + pretty, and instead of being made with wool, they were made with fleece. It peaked my interest, so I did a little search online for fleece rugs and found this site, http://www.creatinghomedecor.com/fleecehookedrug.htm Armed with easy instructions, and an idea I headed out to buy some polar fleece, and a rug grid.
A few hours later I got started. For a long time now I have been thinking of a way to make a "toast" rug. I thought about buying rug scraps and piecing it together, but it seemed like a lot of effort, for something that might not even work. So I am very excited about my fleece toast rug! As you see, I don't have a lot done...But I am quite determined. I bought a pretty large rug grid, so I know it will take awhile. But I want the rug for my living room...so I hope to stay focused and actually complete this project :)

Aside from working on my new rug, I also spun tow new skeins of yarn. I hope to get these added to the store soon!

I know I have been missing in action lately, but my computer has been giving me some trouble. Which is funny because I just ordered a new computer from Dell a few days ago...So I wonder if my cranky PC knows he is soon to be recycled! Poor dear :(

Oh my, that rug will be so cute.
I think that you should do a picture tour of your house, so that everyone can see all of your goodies all about!

Oh the rug looks so awesome. I can't wait to see the outcome. Maybe I will make one of my own. :)

I am so happy you are finally getting a new computer. To the trash with that old one. Hehehehe.

We should make dates for Starbuck every once in a while, they are so good.

I love all of your things. And I was considering buying the Cyndi Lauper yarn...but I didn't know how tulle would work with crocheting/knitting a scarf...Is it hard to work with or is it basically the same as crocheting/knitting with the regular yarn?

Haha sorry for so many questions :D

Oooo, great start on the rug! Now that I have all my yarn back, I am looking forward to crocheting some more rugs, which is always fun.

okay this is amazing..i cannot WAIT to see this done! i have a question...this may have been clear in your link somewhere, but i must have missed it. i understand that you loop the fleece through, but what keeps it there if someone were to pull at a strand after it's been looped into the grid? maybe i don't understand the way you loop it thru where it'd stay put. am i making any sense? haha.

anyway, wanna see the results of your wonderful and toasty rug!

Hello! I love your website. I found it a long time ago and I seem to remember that you had a diy section? Maybe I'm wrong.

Anyways, I was eyeing that fleece rug in the flyer as well. I want to make a piano or keyboard (computer keyboard) rug so i could dance on it with a purpose.
