I have been thinking a lot about yarn lately and longing to spin some. Using my drop spindle takes so much time, and I have so many other things to do. So I started looking up spindles online, and actually found one I can afford :) I should know by tomorrow if it is mine, or not...please be mine!
I just spent the past two hours silk-screening t-shirts for a friend's hardcore band. I feel like sprawling out on the living room floor and drinking juice through a long bendy straw, so I won't even have to bend my neck! Haha, instead I will probably work on some crochet.
Here is a little peek at some stuff I got put onto vellum today, so i can make screens for tomorrow. I'm making myself an address label screen because I am getting very lazy about writing my return address on every single bit of mail that I have to send out. I am also making some screens for cards + envelopes for the shop!
I am also planning on making some mypapercrane t-shirts and kind of wanted to ask, when you buy a t-shirt, what size would you get? I want to make every size, but I want to get an idea of how many to buy of each.
And lastly...is there anyone out there living in Japan who would like to be pen-pals? Since it might be a year or two before we get to fly out to Japan...I would love to have a pal. I would promise to send you all kinds of fun goodies, like the weird stuff I make, you can even send me dollar store goodies and I will be as pleased as punch! :) Just thought I'd check!

als, do you take comission work for your screening? i'd love to have some small labels like the ones you use only with a little image. i'm looking around and can't find anything to suite my taste and i want little tiny tags. i'm just curious?
i ordered a babes pvc drop spindle to try out. i'm not sure if i'll be able to get it going but i want to try. i diffently want a wheel too. i was going to buy a babes wheel because its alli canafford right now but i'll just wait and get a really nice one when i'm rich:)
my fingers are crossed for you! i think you NEED a wheel so you can start selling yarn!!!!!!!!
July 22 2004, 19:33:44 UTC 7 years ago
Yeah a Babe electric spinning wheel is what I am getting, compared to the $800 electric spinning wheels out there, the Babe is great! I don't mind that it is pvc, i think its kind of cool! Let me know how spinning goes, your so talented that I am sure you can figure something out!
I will let you know how my wheel goes, then maybe you should get one too!! :)

helloi ordered a toaster purse from you the other day, i just found your site recently & i think your stuff is great!
i will be friending you if you don't mind :D
also, i like youth medium shirts...youth sizes in general...& it would be even more awesome if you can find the not so new boxy tshirts but instead the soft thinner kind...i have been looking for this kind forever! instead in the meantime i have just been stealing my parent's old t-shirts that are worn in by time :)
keep up the good work!

Also, there is a little blurb about Print Gocco in the new ReadyMade.
It makes me want one even more.
Sell me yours? Hehe.
They are too expensive for my waitress budget. :(
I'm too scared to try out REAL silk screening.
July 23 2004, 12:23:41 UTC 7 years ago
