The other day I received my Joanne's Fabrics sale flyer, and as I quickly flipped through it I couldn't help but notice a little insert they had about fleece. I spotted some rugs and had to look a little closer. This part of the ad was for a book called Cool Rugs Made Easy. The rugs look awesome! Colorful + pretty, and instead of being made with wool, they were made with fleece. It peaked my interest, so I did a little search online for fleece rugs and found this site, http://www.creatinghomedecor.com/fleecehookedrug.htm Armed with easy instructions, and an idea I headed out to buy some polar fleece, and a rug grid. A few hours later I got started. For a long time now I have been thinking of a way to make a "toast" rug. I thought about buying rug scraps and piecing it together, but it seemed like a lot of effort, for something that might not even work. So I am very excited about my fleece toast rug! As you see, I don't have a lot done...But I am quite determined. I bought a pretty large rug grid, so I know it will take awhile. But I want the rug for my living room...so I hope to stay focused and actually complete this project :)

Aside from working on my new rug, I also spun tow new skeins of yarn. I hope to get these added to the store soon!

I know I have been missing in action lately, but my computer has been giving me some trouble. Which is funny because I just ordered a new computer from Dell a few days ago...So I wonder if my cranky PC knows he is soon to be recycled! Poor dear :( |
