I think this movie looks really good, I like the whole Waking Life feel to it, now just to wait patiently for it to come out!

	A Scanner Darkly is a great book, if you ever have a chance to read it. The author is Philip K. Dick. I'm not sure what to think about the movie though, seeing that Keanu Reeves is in it. Personally, I think he was best in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and that's about it, hehe ;) I've added you as a contact on Flickr, by the way. :D (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I aggree! I saw that Keanu was in it and thought "Oh, hell." It's funny, people saw him in Bill + Ted's and thought "Oh, he's so funny!" But really, that's just how he is. oh well, yay Philip K. Dick! (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I think A Scanner Darkly looks potentially amazing, too! And my boyfriend is a huge Philip K. Dick fan, so he's even more enthused than I am. :) Hope it's a good one! (Reply to this)

I think A Scanner Darkly has a good chance of being the best, and most faithful, Philip K. Dick adaptation to date. (Well, it might be hard to beat Blade Runner quality-wise, depending on who you ask, but it took a lot of liberties with the story.) There's a letter from Dick's daughters on a web site for SD, all about how they feel like this is going to be the first time their father's vision will really be brought to the screen. It probably helps that Linklater is such a big PKD fan.

I'm really excited about this movie. But I really wish someone would make a film of Ubik, another novel of Dick's that he actually wrote a screenplay of. And some of his other books, like Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said, would make really good movies too, but only if someone really respected the material (unlike, say, the people who made Paycheck).
